We are interested in the possibility of having an air conditioner system installed at home. The installation would be in the lounge, which is about 4×5 metres, on an outside wall within a metre of ring main power cabling.
We already have gas central heating for the main heating, so just want to use the air conditioner for delaying when we need to put the central heating on by already pre-heating the room.
We already have Solar PV panels and are looking to use surplus electricity generation to provide some background heating, by an efficient air conditioner, during the Autumn & Spring (and cooling in the summer).
Therefore, we need a unit that has good controllability and efficiency that is capable of running at relatively low power levels after start up.
The models we have researched so far are the Panasonic kit-re9-rke and Toshiba RAS-10G2KVP-E, which both appear to have low power settings after the initial start up, but we are interested in any other suitable suggestions.
Please can you let me know what make/models you would recommend for the above and if you would be interested in quoting for the above with an indication of likely cost to supply & install, including VAT.
