Street is a big village and also civil parish in the English area of Somerset. According to the 2011, the town has a permanent population of 11,805 people. Much of the background of the village is dominated by Glastonbury Abbey until the Dissolution of the Monasteries, and its name originates from a 12th-century causeway from Glastonbury, which was developed to transfer regional Blue Lias rock from what is currently Street to reconstruct the Abbey.
