Belsize Park is a district in north west London, in the London Borough of Camden. It sits between Camden Town and Hampstead and is less than a mile south of Hampstead Heath. The name Belsize Park comes from the French phrase bel assis, which means “well-situated”. The name first appeared in records in the 14th century, as the name of the local manor house.
